5 Veil Shopping Tips

1. Buy the dress first. Buying a dress is a big purchase and saying "yes to the dress" might take a couple or several visits to different bridal shops. When you already have an accessory you have to wear, like a veil or a sash, it just makes the dress search harder and more limiting.

2. Take your time. Dress shopping is exhausting and you might not have the energy to choose a veil the day you find the perfect dress. My recommendation is to wait until your wedding dress arrives at the store because you will try it on again before you take it home. At that point the dress will fit even better and you will have a clear head to shop for a veil.

3. Be yourself. Are you the bird cage or cathedral type of girl? Do you even want a veil? Whatever makes you feel beautiful and confident is what you should go for.

4. Try on several ones. Just like with dress shopping, you never know what you might like since you have likely never tried on a veil. Try different lengths and types until you find the one that feels right.

5. Consider the dress. The color of the dress should match the color of the veil. If your dress has lace, a little lace on the veil would complete the look, but you can also go simpler with a little bling to enhance the dress.
