The Barn Wedding - Katelyn and JJ
Last Thanksgiving weekend, after sharing quality time with my loved ones and eating yummy food, I had the pleasure of coordinating a very special day, celebrating the union of two very sweet families and a new chapter in Katelyn and JJ's lives.
The weeks leading up to their big day were a bit nerve-wrecking since we were afraid the North Georgia wildfires would force us to relocate the wedding. However, after being prepared and having several back up plans, we were very grateful the smoke went away, it didn't rain, and the indoor fire ban was lifted.
Katelyn and JJ's wedding day started with a ceremony at The Retreat's Vintage Barn. The fireplace kept us cozy meanwhile the groom's uncle officiated the wedding and the bride's grandfather said a couple of heartfelt words and read an Irish prayer. After exchanging their personalized vows, guests were invited to the Pavilion to enjoy the cocktail hour and reception.
For me, the recurring theme of this important day was "family". From turning their wedding day into a fun family weekend in Hiawassee, to displaying their families' legacy of love, this was truly a happy and unforgettable day for all.
Katelyn and JJ, I enjoyed seeing you cherish every second of your big day, I wish you all the best and I am so happy for you. Marianne, thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. It was a pleasure working with the three of you and thank you again for trusting and choosing Weddings by V.
Below is a slideshow with a couple of photos I was able to capture, but I can't wait to share more photos soon. For Katelyn and JJ's wedding vendor list and testimonial please visit the portfolio.
